Uni-Directional Microphones

The system consists of a right-angled mount (D) to which is screwed the electronics package (C). The capsule itself (B) is screwed to (C) and the diaphragm is protected by cap (A). The capsule (B) is available in 3 forms:

* Omni-directional
* Cardioid
* Hypercardioid
The latter 2 are uni-directional.

The advantage of the uni-directional capsules is that there is less likelihood of feedback occurring and bleedthrough from other instruments is minimised

The system can be mounted on a gooseneck of the appropriate length for any particular instrument.

The following pictures illustrate the system for a violin

Integrated wireless systems

Using an AKG micropen transmitter it is possible to mount this inside a Wolf shoulder-rest.

The Accusound microphone may be mounted on the shoulder-rest so the 3 parts form an integrated whole. Alternatively the standard tail-piece cradle can be used.
This makes the instrument totally wireless.

We also offer a belt-pack system where the user wears a transmitter on their belt. The standard microphone is then plugged in to this.

The wireless system may be used for all our pickup types, omni-directional, uni-directional or contact microphones.
